App Store listing check
Paste your App Store link. Get a score and a list of what to fix first, from the preview video down to the release notes.
What it checks
- Preview video
- Whether the listing has one. It plays automatically in search results and at the top of the page.
- Screenshots
- How many of the ten slots are used, on iPhone and iPad.
- Name and subtitle
- Whether they use their 30 characters each, and say what the app does.
- Description
- Its length, and the opening line people see before tapping “more”.
- Ratings
- How many, and the average. Few ratings or a low score both cost installs.
- Freshness
- Days since the last update, and whether the release notes say anything.
- Languages
- How many languages the app is listed in.
Questions
- Does this use AI?
- No. Every check is a fixed rule applied to public information from the App Store, so the same listing always gets the same result.
- Do I need to own the app?
- No. Any public App Store link works, so you can check competitors too.
- Does it work for Google Play?
- Not yet. It reads App Store listings only.
- What does the score mean?
- Each check has a weight; video and screenshots count most because they are seen first. 100 means every check passed. It measures the listing, not the app.
- Why does a check say “couldn't check”?
- The subtitle and preview video are read from the listing page itself. If the page can't be read at that moment, those two are skipped and count as half.
No video on your listing?
Paste the same link into Appatchy and get a short video where a presenter explains your app.
